Khruangbin – Mordechai [LP]

Khruangbin has always been multilingual, weaving far-flung musical languageslike East Asian surf-rock, Persian funk, and Jamaican dub into mellifluousharmony. But on its third album, its finally speaking out loud. Mordechaifeatures vocals prominently on nearly every song, a first for the mostlyinstrumental band. Its a shift that rewards the risk, reorienting Khruangbinstransportive sound toward a new sense of emotional directness, without losingthe spirit of nomadic wandering thats always defined it. And it all started withthem coming home.
